I've been getting routine care, including imaging, at RoxMem for years now. This year, when I called for an appointment, I was told they no longer accept my insurance. Which is Aetna, one of the largest in the country. Talking to a clerk in the department I was dealing with, I was told "they've stopped taking a lot of insurance." How can you run a hospital without agreements with the major insurance companies? Anyone know what's going on?

Weird.. Aetna and RM announced a 3-year deal in Feb 2016, so that should have about 5 months left on it.

Weird, indeed. I really hope they get this sorted out. I don't know that I would schedule anything major at RM, but for bread and butter stuff like mammograms or a couple of stitches in the ER, they have always been perfectly reliable. I ended up going to the Women's Center at Chestnut Hill this go round, and I am not impressed.
