I haven't been on Philly Speaks for years now. I am hoping someone will respond to my questions. We live in a small row home in SP. We have been thinking of either renovating our house and finishing our basement or biting the bullet and moving. The thought of moving feels completely overwhelming. I am a simple person and I don't mind living in a small house. BUT, we would love to refresh our house. We don't have AC (radiators) and our kitchen looks very outdated. Can someone recommend a contractor that I could call to get some quotes for renovating my small house?

    Thanks!

Moving will cost many, many thousands in avoidable costs (if you renovated instead): Real estate transfer taxes, title insurance, lender fees, recording fees, inspection, appraisal, selling realtor fees, etc. I'd renovate if I were you.

I would check Angies list. That site has worked for me in the past.
