I saw a faded liquor license in the window and zero construction activity when I passed by last week. Did this project die or are they just backed up?

If they eat 10 of their dollar tacos they won't still be backed up.

I think they tried to grow too quickly. Just a guess, but with their expansion on Bainbridge, they might have run out of money.

West Philly is getting a lot of dropped balls: the construction at 43rd and Baltimore is going nowhere, which is ridiculous after all the money thrown at that project. ReAnimator coffee seems like a no-go. I don't get it, as the rest of the community is booming.

Well retail is always the last real estate piece and also the toughest to fill. Look at all the retail turnover in NoLibs, South Street, Avenue of the Arts etc.

Good point. It's just weird how amazingly successful some of the Baltimore Ave restaurants are, and yet others can't seem to get traction.
