My car was towed this morning by the PPA. It will cost me $1500 to get it back, which is more than the car is worth. I was planning on getting rid of the car anyway, so my question is: if I allow them to keep and auction it, can that in any way affect my license, credit, etc? I see that they can suspend my registration, but it doesn't say anything about a license. I just want to let the car go, but want to make sure that it won't come back to bite me in the ass. Any thoughts you have would be welcome!

The title presumably is still in your name. I'd make sure the title gets changed otherwise you could have an insurance nightmare ahead.

When a car is sold at auction, the winning bidder applies for a title at the same time they pay the other costs and fees. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks for Harrisburg to send out the new title to the new owner so they can register the car and get tags.
