My husband and I were grabbing an uber early this morning on Christian near 11th. A cat ran in our house when the door was open. We were in a hurry so we let her be. She is mostly white with black spots. She has a collar and tag. There is food and water in our house already. We just did not have time to catch her and look at the tag. We will do that when we get home. We didn't want her to get hurt and she seemed afraid to be outside.

If this sounds like your cat, relax. She'll be fine until we get home

I'm shocked that a cat ran in while the door was open, and more shocked that you guys were like, "We're in a hurry, she'll be fine."

    Glad it worked out.

Well, Mackey, we had cat food, water and liter in place already. We could tell she was a frightened indoor cat.

I decided at lunch to contact my neighbor who knows everyone. Turns out the owner had been looking in tears all morning since her cat bolted out the door because workmen in her house were making noise. Her owner lives nearby. Our neighbor let her in. She found the cat walking around the house like she owned it. Our male cat was staring at her while claiming his favorite chair. Our female was so ticked off she wouldn't come near us for a full day.

We're probably more weird than awesome!

My Italian grandmother used to tell me that the Chinese people who ran the laundry would steal cats to eat them. I said that was just an old wives tale. When I was in Guangzhou, China (formerly known as Canton), there was a very large outdoor market. Think 9th Street but ten times as large. On the food street, I saw crates of live chickens, crates of live rabbits, barrels of live snakes.....and crates of live cats. But with 1.5 billion people, you eat what you have.
