This is the same as Brexit. Leaving the EU is a terrible idea for Brittan. The people who voted for it had no idea what they were deciding on. The reacted to Russian propaganda, and their own bitter anger.

Looks like all your hand-wringing was for naught. When will you folks learn: we're not dealing with the same old political hacks. We have somebody who actually cares about our American citizen workers and is revamping deals to prove it.

You do realize, don't you, that this current "deal" is the SAME DEAL as the TPP, which trump backed out of with great flourish upon taking office.

No, you don't realize it, because you're just in it for the sound bites that are fed to those who can't bother to read anything of substance.

TPP did not have automobile rules of origin and access to Canada’s dairy markets, among other things. Those are pretty major parts of the new deal. Plus TPP was never approved by Congress.

    Not true.

TPP had a 45% rules of origin for automobiles. Old NAFTA had 62.5%. And on Canadian dairy:

"The deal includes a small reduction in protectionism for Canada's dairy farmers,” the firm's global economist Ethan Harris says. "Under the new USMCA, American dairy producers will have access to 3.59% of Canada's dairy market — slightly higher than the 3.25% they would have gotten had the US signed the Trans Pacific Partnership [TPP]."

TPP wasn’t approved because the Obama administration negotiated it. Now that trump has somehow made it his deal, I’m sure the lemming Republicans will all hail their tax-fraud rapist magnificent leader(tm).

That's not what I had originally read, but I'll look again.
