On what planet is it OK (if this is true) for City Council employees to issue death threats and dump dead dogs on citizen's door steps?

I believe Blackwell is capable of a lot of things, but dead dogs and death threats? C'mon, what'd she have a ward leader find and kill a dog just for intimidation purposes? I think she's a little crazy and an ineffective councilperson, but I don't think she's stupid enough to do either of those things. Also, why did they wait an entire year to file this suit if they were being assaulted and repeatedly threatened?

FWIW, I don't know anything about the plaintiff's group, but MCIC has a reputation for being a pretty corrupt CDC-type group.

Dude, I've had ward leaders tell me personally they know where I live and "crime happens all the time, even in your backyard" in the same sentence. Personally, it would not surprise me.

That said, I'm sure they are suing with dollar signs in their eyes.

Daily News says the city itself is named in the case, as well as Blackwell. Try the complaintant's names.
