Not sure if this one is related to your OP but this seems worth including if it's part of the same scam. I came home Saturday night to find that someone was at my 78-year-old neighbor's door at 1:30am. Sounds similar, though the description of the person is not quite the same. I got a tag no. and called 9-1-1 as soon as I got in the house. Still hoping I did the right thing. On a related note the cops have never shown up faster, so this must really be on their radar.
