Default Microsoft's Leaked Global Criminal Handbook

The document is a guide for law enforcement agencies explaining what private data Microsoft stores, and how law enforcement should go about requesting it...

MS is demanding the whistleblower site Cryptome take down the document by thurs or they will take down their site. Microsoft is asserting that the document is copyrighted material under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Nice claim to try and keep users in the dark about what it's doing with their data.

The document is available on wikileaks now.

http://file.wikileaks.org/files/microsoft-spy.pdf

Thanks to the natural publicity spawned by MS' takedown notice everybody and their cousin will have a copy by this time tomorrow, even those of us who wouldn't otherwise be the slightest bit interested in seeing it.

UPDATE:

Temporary new home of Cryptome.org: Cryptome

...and minute by minute, more and more sites are posting the full document.

LEAKED: Security Document Microsoft Doesn't Want You To Read

Even the relatively mainstream wired.com has posted the document directly on their site:

I imagine Graeme Grant, Pet Detective, er uh "Internet Investigator" aka Microsoft Anti Piracy Investigator #4, is going to have a very busy week.
