Any opinions or info about the condo development called the Hermitage, in Bryn Mawr? We're considering a purchase, but are out-of-towners and wondering if this is a place that holds value and is considered a nice place?

Are you talking about the development here?
If so, it's a very nice area, however, whether or not you'd want to live there depends on what you're looking for. It's a very nice area, however it's a new development surrounded by old estate homes. It is in a solely residential area, there are some amenities in Gladwyne, down Rte. 23, but not many. It's not a far drive from Bryn Mawr, Conshohocken, Villanova or I-76. But it also is in a complete transit vacuum. If you ever want to take the train or trolley, you'll be driving to get there unless you don't mind biking on some pretty curvy, narrow and hilly roads with drivers who seem to abhor cyclists.
If you're going to get a condo in the western suburbs, I'd recommend something in either Wayne or Bryn Mawr closer to Lancaster Ave., which is the main commercial stretch and guarantees close access to transit, entertainment, dining, services, and, if you're raising kids, great schools.
Thanks, Volanova. Yes, that's the one. Truth to tell, the quiet surroundings are actually the main draw for us!
It's in one of the most beautiful areas of the Philadelphia region.
