With the Moorestown Mall apparently getting fine dining, up to 4 restaurants, because of liquor licenses permitted at the mall, and an enlarged movie theater from Regal, is it possible that Federated could convert Macy's to its upscale Bloomingdales? The Macy's is next to a Lord & Taylor, which draws likely some affluent people already, so this would be a convenient and destination place for customers who can choose between two stores.
The downside for Federated would be no traditional Macy's in Burlington County left (they closed Burlington Center), and some Macys customers could be upset having to go to the crowded CH Mall. But, it might help the Voorhees Macy's, for those that live between both locations would support that one a bit more.
The only Bloomingdales are in King of Prussia and Willow Grove. Willow Grove/Horsham and area is a smaller trade area than Cherry Hill-Mt.Laurel-Marlton, South Jersey in general. A lot less hotel rooms for example in Willow Grove.
