Elkins Park, Tabby Cat Frequent Visitor
I've been seeing a tabby cat (mostly black with what look like orange/golden colored stripes) coming into my yard often. I don't mind the cat coming around, but I have a bird feeder, and the cat hangs around there, I guess in hopes of catching a bird. This cat doesn't look like a feral or a stray. It has a beautiful glossy coat and it looks well fed, like it belongs to neighbors who lets it out. This is near the intersection of Waring and Cedar Roads. If this cat sees me coming, it runs and hides. It's very skittish. I don't mind the cat coming around, I just mind that I've put out a bird feeder to attract birds, and they're staying away from the feeder when the cat is nearby, and this puts them at risk of being killed or maimed by the cat. Does this cat sound familiar to anyone living in this area?
