This is why South Jersey is so ugly, IMO. No variety in the topography whatsoever. Just vast and flat...covered by strip malls. Meh.
I have no idea how I became the defender of Southern New Jersey but really you folks need to get out more.
Yes while flat it's hardly all strip malls...been to the Pine Barrens, been kayaking or canoeing there? It's pretty damn incredible that 20% NJ's land is tied up there and undeveloped. It's one of largest areas of undeveloped land from Boston to Richmond...about a 35 minute drive from City Hall.
Oh yeah and there's one of those oceans on the other side of the Pine Barrens.
Sheesh.
I'm at Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club for a birthday party now. Due to disallowed lefts I drove through Kingston to get here, through a development of space age homes. Not my scene. However, on the way home we'll hit Haddonfield and the Cooper River Park. I like both, especially the latter.
It was packed full of happy families having fun... Don and Tony are great town leaders..
It's sad that some people see putting money into successful park improvements as a "waste"
