Default Motorist survives 60(??) foot fall off Durham Road

Motorist survives 60 foot fall off Durham Road - phillyBurbs.com : News: accident, interstate 95, durham road,

I passed this accident within minutes of it happening. It was scary and bizzare, to think a ton plus of moving metal just missed the roadway, and that the driver survived was a testament to the Detroit design team.

However, the Courier Slime Editors are sensationalizing the headline like true yellow journalists of the past. Durahm Road Bridge is hardly 6 stories high. The steel base girder has 18', maybe 20' at best, of road clearance for oversized traffic.

However, I do worry about Conrail dropping a box car door from their frieght heading towards the Delair Bridge near Bridge Street adn I-95. Say plenty of that in the parking lots near 30th & Chestnut.

Gotta get me one of them cars. There was a guy landed upside down in the Schuylkill canal last weekend
near Mont Clare, not as lucky. Passenger survived though.

I'd put it between 25 and 30' myself.

That's one of the worst articles I've ever read. I feel like someone heard 20' drop and 40' of chain link fence, and then somehow saw a 40' tall chain link fence in their mind's eye, thus 60 feet. And the comments point it out, but the inconsistencies of the story are atrocious.
