    Default 1838 Black Rock Tunnel

While scanning rail beds on Google earth I saw these tracks that went across the
Schuylkill and disappear, so I finally went up to Phoenixville to take some pics. This
tunnel is pushing 200 years old and would like to find a pic of an earlier bridge:

If you look closely the tracks are visible in center to give a sense of their depth:

Grew up near that tunnel. My brother, friends and I spent many a day on that tressel, in that tunnel and all around the river.

I might try and get up there early in the morning before the foliage starts filling in, since it was too late to check out
the area last time. That is a hell of a drop from where we parked at the cemetary, but there is that oblique trail going
down that I used (wife passed).
At least there is ample river access unlike Whitemarsh and Conshohocken. Looking forward to exploring the other side
    of the river too.
