An earlier thread in the Northeast forum:

Is the KoP Gino's open yet? The latest entry on their blog says they're hiring for the location.

My client brought back a Gino Giant last week in K of P ( amid my threats ) after an invititation only opening for realty pros.
Not as good as I remember but certainly fresh, the beef charred. Probably should have foregone the onion though as they
came back to visit later. All in all a good burger, but I think one has to have the real deal eat-in experience with the fries
and a large milkshake. Can't wait to try the fried chicken!
    I think they opened yesterday

Gino's used to be on Broad and Snyder, right next to the old Subway Bar.

I remember Muhammad Ali doing a TV commercial eating a Gino
    Giant.

Does this really matter? If you're honest you know it does not. Their burgers and fries did not really taste any different than the greasy things the other fast food chains serve.

Not really, except maybe for nostalgia, though I haven't been there yet myself. Looking forward to trying Elevation Burger
and I believe the first one around here is Wynnewood, website is good anyway.

I was at Gino's today, Saturday, Nov 13th and the signs inside said the grand opening and ribbon cutting would be tommorrow, Sunday the 14th, but they were open today and look as if they have been open for awhile. Anyway it was nothing like the original Gino's. My hamburger was $5.00 and was big and juicy and delicious. You order and pay and then they bring it to your table when it's ready. The first Gino's were basicly a knock off of Macdonald's with same prices and quality except they also made fried chicken. My 1st p/t summer job was at a Gino's, probably back in 1966? I would go to the new one often but I'm not in KOP very often.

I can second that emotion! Nothing like a nice and greasy cheeseburger with fries and a milkshake! I'm not being
sarcastic either. My better half is on a low fat diet, but somehow hope to eat some-a-that fried chicken too.
Dream meal? Gino Giant, small fry, vanilla milkshake(large), and a basket of fried chicken!!!

There is a Gino's opening on Street Road in Bensalem in Sept. this year. Was an Indian Buffett before this.

    They opened last October.
I ate there a couple of times. although it tastes good and the sauce tastes the same, the Gino Giant is not quite the same as I remember it back in the day. I think the beef patties are different.
    Still good though!
