    Default Epic church

I caught a article in the paper a few weeks ago about the epic church. They have one in manayunk and a new one on the Ave. of the arts. Interesting was they held service in a movie theater. They had a big band and lots of good sound, but the amazing thing was the bunch of 20 somethings at service worshiping and praising god. I was very impressed to see so many young people expressing their faith in a joyous occasion. I'm going to attend the one on south Broad st this week. If you're seeking a biblical based church to praise the lord check it out.

The word "church" refers specifically to a Christian house of worship. A mosque is not a church. The church of Scientology is not recognized as a "church" in some countries.

So the question is valid: a bible-based church as opposed to what, exactly?

Regardless, it's all superstition and hokum. I sent one of "Epic Church's" little flyers off to L&I as an illegal handbill. Same way I did with a car wash flyer two weeks ago.

Yeah but we're in America. In America it's considered a church.

I know a lot about "church's" [sic] seeing as I was part of the One True Church(tm) for 18 years.

Well if you know your history you should know that Judaism and Christianity had a profound influence on Islam, seeing as it sees itself as a continuation of those two faiths.
You should open your mind and check it out.
No, there is enough nonsense in my life as it is, I don't need to make a mental short-circuit and some how find away to patch superstition back into my brain.

So now man lying with man is no longer an abomination? I don't have to punch a hole in my slave's ear to show he chooses to stay? I don't get to stone adulteresses?!?!?!?!/1//!

Nope. I don't believe in any deity based on the physical implausibility and the overwhelming absence of evidence.

I would just like to know if intellectual masturbation is considered a sin.

Not in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. You should check them out sometime.

You can even wear a sieve on your head as part of the official garb. Better styling than the tin foil hat some other "church's" prescribe!

You're probably correct, but here's an example of a "church" that's not based on the bible, and nor is it christian.

    Saiva Siddhanta Church

The Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church is a mansion of the Rastafari movement that flourished in the 1970s in Jamaica and was incorporated in Florida in 1975. Members of the movement say it is based on the teachings of Marcus Garvey and that they use cannabis as the Rastafari sacrament.[1] I'm sure you like to attend this Church

i'm quite positive god's ego isn't so big that it cares if someone "believes" in it or not. i'm also quite certain that an all loving god accepts everyone after death.
