Is anyone watching this? I'm an hour into it and -- except for a brief nod to the Spanish/Catholic foray into the Southwest in the 1500s -- it's mostly about how the established churches of colonial and early federal New England and the South reacted to religious dissent -- and the results thereof.

The camera panned down an early map of the eastern seaboard while the narrator intoned, "state church...state church...state church" as it passed over Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire.

Rhode Island? New Jersey? Pennsylvania? Delaware? No state churches? Did the program get into how those colonies emerged without them? Of course not. It just moved on to Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina..."state church, state church," etc.

I'm just amazed at what these people are leaving out.
