Kudos to the PPD and thanks to Mr. Lolly -- who woke up to the sounds of a disturbance in our back alley, caught a glimpse of something nefarious going on, and called 911.

As a result the bike & copper pipe thief in our midst was handily nabbed.

Nice work. Though I thought you were talking about something else in your subject. I was woken up about an hour ago to the sound of music. It was so loud and constant I originally thought it was coming from something inside my own house.

Gave it a little while, then all of a sudden it was turned down right around the same time your post when up. I can still barely hear it....but just barely.

Is there an abandon or empty house on your block? I've been perplexed as to how one steals copper. Seems like the amount of work it would take to get it out of the house would far exceed whatever value it had as scrap.

You'd be amazed the lengths people will go to get money for crack.

If only they could have been addicted to cleaning, or something, and expended as much energy on that.
