2123 Montrose Street - Garbage Dump! | EveryBlock Philadelphia
Saw this on Everyblock, figured the lady could use advice and support here.
It's a park lot owned by the city and the now defunct Montrose Neighborhood Association since 1969.
This is most of the initial post. Could she be referring to Mr. Rosie the possum hunter?
"Certain neighbors have taken the liberty to place their unwanted gym equipment and toilet (seat) in the lot along with other things including a grill/ trash cans, etc. It has been cleaned by the city officials in the past but that only lasts a month or two at the most. I think it actually poses a health hazard since there are possums/ mosquitoes and other pests associated with this lot. Actually a neighbor who 'controls' the lot actually leaves a possum trap in there - God knows what he does with it. it is also a regular late night hang out for drinking and pot which leads to public disturbance.
Can anyone suggest any way of getting this information to someone who might take a step further than to just temporarily clean things up?"
I always thought it was owned by the house next door and they just misused it but it sounds like it's been appropriated, and not at all well.
