Default 1537 Christian - NE Corner of 16th and Christian - Sold?

Anyone know what is up with the corner property on the NE corner of 16th and Christian? It was listed for sale a couple weeks back and is now off the market. Anyone know if this means that it sold? No deeds have been filed yet.

This is where one drug user set another drug user on fire two years back. I would love to see it sold and rehabbed. I think it would start chipping away at the issues on the 16th st from Catharine to Christian.

I've heard from one of the tenants that is has sold and that there is only on couple still living there, no idea what the plan is, but I know the owner was asking what I thought was a very high price. Probably gonna be all rentals and we'll lose one of our few remaining retail possibilities.

Where will the tenants park their cars?

In garages used by their owners for storage only.

Looks like its going to be a dry cleaning pick up site with 5 apartments above. I am excited that we are keeping the commercial use!

I am actually super excited to have a convenient dry cleaner in the SE corner of the neighborhood. But yes, I really hope they do the rehab right.

I'm on that block, and have always dreamed of something that would put some eyes on the street at night, bar/restaurant, but know it's a long shot. I don't have much use for a dry cleaner, but like I said, better commercial than one more apartment.
