Does anyone know when the farmers market is coming back?

Some good folks with the Friends of Julian Abele Park are currently working on this. It's a little complicated this season because the Park is due for demolition/construction starting in June. (I've heard *early* June - though still not holding my breath at this point.)

That means either the season will be shortened or the market will be moved elsewhere, or perhaps not happen at all this year. I sure hope that won't be the case, but the logistics (and silly things like City permitting) are a bit of a challenge.

If anyone out there has any suggestion, we're all ears!

PS This reminds me, we'll be having our first fully open elections to the Board of Directors of the Friends of Julian Abele Park at our next regular monthly meeting. That is, on Wednesday May 2nd. 6:30pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, 22nd & Christian. (More details at Julian Abele Park)

I wish there were some organic stuff there or farmers that grow their own without pesticides. Very little of what is offered there is fresh off the farm, a lot is what you would find in a traditional grocery. For people that would otherwise not go to a supermarket it's great and some fresh veggies are better than none i suppose but otherwise, unfortunately, it's just, eh. It's just too bad.
