I know you are working on it. But unfortunately when i go it is true and when i asked about it was told it all came from his farm. I replied that's an awfully big farm, especially when some veggies are labeled from another country. highlandorchards.com would be a great vendor. They aren't certified organic, that's an expensive process to be certified many ethical farmers cannot afford, but they do not use pesticides.
Also the quality of their canned and baked goods for me hasn't been good. I've found mold in several. It's just too bad, this is after a couple years of trying to use them. It's not purposeful but happens. Yes i have told them each time and they were apologetic, once while looking to buy I found an entire box of canned goods that were not sealed properly. After repeated instances I just gave up.
All that said. If you know you are going to an outdoor grocery store that combines some local farm that utilizes pesticides and mostly other stuff that's great, but if you are expect fresh farm products sans pesticides it's not the best. Even the baked goods etc are not he best RTM has much better. The grocery store on south has better. Betty's has much better, Metropolitan bakery...
Just my experience. I truly wish it were different. It's a great idea and i'll patronize it again when there's something there i need. Meanwhile i started getting my veggies through a highlandorchards CSA that delivers to bettys. I never have to think twice about it.
