They have a common owner and the manager may be sick or something. I wouldn't read too much into it.

That's great news. Although I'll take the over on the "four to five weeks" opening. That space--and the decor--needs a lot of work if it's going to pull off a concept bar.

There seems to be an explosin of a new generation of babies in the neigborhood and with all the old people "leaving", we are only poised to see more babies. Perhaps something that is a bit more cosmopolitan rather than provincial? If they were exclusive or (one of few) retailers of some nice lines of clothes, they could manage to be a destination as well as a local resource.
I think that concept would do alright. Anyone know of any other baby/child focussed stores in the core of the city? With the kids shoe store down further on EPA, you could have a nice little shopping trip for your lil uns.
