Sounds like a plant store.
A friend of mine is involved in this and she told me they will be selling wreaths, trees, swags, flower arrangements and offering a variety of garden services. Not sure what a swag is.
It's going to be a huge garden supplie store.
i was in urban jungle yesterday and it was very nice. friendly people.
but where did the jokers go?!?!
I went in on Sunday, it was mainly just filled with Christmas trees and stuff. The owner said they were going to close in January and February and do major renovations and re-open for spring.
They plan to be full service garden store and they also have an existing business doing urban garden installs (window boxes and planters).
So, I stopped in King of Jeans for the first time, pretended to look at the wacky clothes then nonchalantly asked about its future. The owner of the store said he and another guy were, in fact, planning a restaurant, but not "ethnic." He said it was going to be Italian. Judging by the clothes, I'm thinking it'll be Chiarella's II. Overpriced for the same stuff you can get from Marra's.
On another note, I saw the owner of Sticks and Stones and he said he would open in "three, four, five weeks. It's definitely happening this time."
Gee Terrific. Another Italian restaurant. It better be good, as it will be entering a crowded market. Do either of these guys have culinary experience? Hopefully the other guy knows what he's doing. The last thing we need is a crappy big restaurant.
I can only hope that we something good with some staying power, that's a great parcel and I would hate to see it wasted on a half-assed attempt at an italian restaurant.
From what I've heard, Sticks & Stones was trying to get rid of Nick M. as a partner. Don't know if that happened yet. So, they'll be open in the Fall of 2013, I guess.
