A similar event at a different scale could be very popular. And if it was near local businesses -- like, if it was held on Passyunk Avenue or 2nd Street in NoLibs -- it could provide a spark for local shops.

Everyone that is not a shut-in would want this! Why WOULDN'T you want this. These are fun events that actually build up a community where people end up meeting their neighbors, something htat is far too rare these days. Last time I checked, food trucks deal in cash only. I doubt the operators are that "honest" when it comes to filing their income tax returns. For example: Reported hot dogs sold = 500. Actual hot dogs sold = 1500 That's tax-free profit on 1,000 hot dogs.

who is going to clean-up all the trash this creates? oh wait will they dump it in a city owned lot? Looks like a hippie palace where people pee all over each other and they wash their hair with it. No thanks, stick to the west coast where that is accepted. No thanks I don't want it to bring all the potheads from all over town who have the "munchies". A food pod puhleeze looks like an Ikea display. How much of a fattie can someone be that they are begging for a pile of food stands. A better idea would be a pod of exercise equipment!
