Next to my home there are two lots that I'm interested in buying. OPA has both of these lots as having owed $2000+ back taxes on each lot(different owners). Each lot hasn't had taxes paid in over 10 years. The one lot owner's mailing address is the same address as the lot so it is prob is going to be hard finding the owner. The ohter lot is a different address and the lien status says-LBR - collections being pursued by Linebarger Collection Agency. Anyone know what that means? Can I just call the Collection Agency and ask if they want to sell?Also someone had told me that there is some program if you live next to a lot you get first crack at owning it(sounds incorrect maybe this was for city owned lots???) I'm thinking the only way to get a chance to possibly buy these lots if I can't find the owners is to force sheriff sale? Thanks.
