    http://www.philadelphiaspeaks.com/fo...-lost-cat.html

Just in via email from a good neighbor:

    our cat is missing.

    From 2400 block of Kimball.

Orange (neutered) male wearing a blue collar and tag. INDOOR ONLY. He's very friendly and might approach someone.

If anyone has any info please let me know and I can put you directly in touch with Doug's very worried owners.

    Here's a pic:

More from Doug's Mom: "We last saw him at 10pm Thursday night (last night) but didn't realize he was gone until 6am this morning. We think he got out while [hubby] was coming in with the dogs after a walk. He's very friendly (with people, dogs, other cats) and food motivated. He tries to escape with some regularity but this is the longest he's ever been gone and we've been looking all morning but can't find him and he hasn't come home yet..."

As a volunteer at an SPCA shelter, here are a few tips to help:

    1. Contact local shelters in the area and file a lost pet report. Call everyday afterwards for an update.
    2. Contact local vets & animal hospitals to inquire if any cats were dropped off there.
    3. If you haven't already done so, post up flyers in your neighborhood as well.
    4. Put Doug's litter box outside. DO NOT CLEAN IT. Doug will be attracted to it's own odor.
    5. You could also put out an open can of sardines in oil. The strong smell could attract him...unfortuantely it may it attract every other critter in Philly as well.

    GOOD LUCK!!
