    Default Heavy Trucks and Sidewalk

Several times we have noticed heavy trucks driving up on our streets sidewalks to get down the street. Some of our neighbors including ours have had a few of their blocks crack from the trucks. We replaced them once only to have it happen again. Anyone have any ideas for stopping this? We were thinking of putting one of those poles when we get the cement done again this Spring so that the trucks will be more hesitant on driving on the sidewalk since we can't be there 24x7 to catch tnem. We need to check with the building inspector to make sure we can even do that. We don't have to many other ideas from stopping this, anyone have any experience dealing with this???

According to posts in this other bollard thread either they need Streets Department approval or an ordinance passed by City Council. But another poster suggested to just go ahead and install them.
