I think it would be nice to have the ability to put posters in time out. Perhaps something of this sort is possible already. But it might be good if you could suspend people for a period of time without an all out ban.

When they annoy me, I put them on "ignore" and never see them again.

Another forum I'm on does the 3 step process, warning, time-out, and than permanent ban. The members worth keeping get it by the time-out.

I think that is a good way to go about it. Perhaps that is already the way it is done, I haven't ever been in the position on this board so I am not sure. I was once warned by Malloy not to mention a certain infamous poster, but that is about it.
