Disappearing posts

What's the deal with deleted posts? There's a thread titled "Crime Alert Lincoln Drive, Westview and Carpenter Lane" that describes a break-in, and someone responded that it figures. I asked why, and now those posts are gone.

Aside from my curiosity about why someone thinks a break in figures, could I at least get a heads-up when mods delete a post? It would seem to be a small courtesy.

I'm not sure how I was inciting anything (I apparently have a lot to learn about that part of Lincoln Drive), but I will continue to entertain insanely.

At least I wasn't so drunk last night that I just imagined typing something.

No the trogs were doing the inciting, and you quoted the trog in your post. He thought he was having his sick little private joke.
