Default Looks like someone forgot domain renewal

I don't think it's dropped out of everyone's dns resolver yet, but I was getting the godaddy parked domain page. I was able to get in by googling up the actual hosting IP and adding it to the hosts (/private/etc/hosts) file on my Mac. I believe the same can be done on windows, although I don't know exactly where the equivalent file lives on windows.

Funny thing is I noticed several weeks ago, when I serendipitously did a whois lookup, that the domain was expiring this month, but I erroneously assumed Malloy would remember to renew.

Whoops. Guess my DNS is still cached somewhere since I haven't had an issue (doesn't work on VZ phone, though). No wonder it's so quiet.

For each user it's going to depend on when their computer's dns resolver last looked up the A record for the host. Each DNS record has a time to live (TTL) value; your dns resolver will cache the A record for the length of time in the TTL. I don't know what the TTL is for PS. Godaddy has their temporary A record with a TTL of 3600 seconds, which means it will take up to an hour for the site to be reachable by some users after Malloy renews.
