Default Are there any showering facilities available near Philly airport?

    Hi guys

I'm an Irish girl flying over there on holiday later in the year and I am trying to find somewhere I can get a shower on arrival. Perhaps a hotel room I can rent for an hour or something? Does anyone know of anywhere that offers this service? I have somewhere to stay for my trip, so I only need the shower facilities for an hour or so on my arrival.

    Go raibh maith agat!

I have never heard of any service like you are inquiring about.

I have to ask though, how long is the flight or what will you be doing that you will require a shower after landing before continuing on your trip?

Heathrow has such a thing. Awesome after a long flight if you want to get going right away.

The Philly airport has rooms available by the hour. Go in with a whole bunch of towlettes?

Don't some of the airline lounges have showers? Even if you aren't a member you can usually get in for $30-40.

London to Philly is hardly a long flight, maybe 8 hours.

They are the hotels hookers usually use: pay by the hour.

It's not a long flight, but personally I sweat through just about everything I'm wearing on a flight after about five hours. For some reason squeezing my 6'2" frame into a tiny seat makes me sweat like it's a hot summers day.

Man did I stink after flying to Asia.

True, but unfortunately not at any of the airline lounges at PHL, AFAIK. The OP may want to check with US Airways to confirm that there aren't showers at the US Airways lounge between terminals B and C. My recollection is that there aren't showers in that lounge though. If the OP is looking for a cleaner, more comfortable place to change clothes and wash up a little then a day pass at the airline lounge or purchasing one hour ($30) at Minute Suites (in the B/C connector IIRC) is probably her best bet.

This is a fairly common amenity at Heathrow and some other European airports. It's great when you get in at 6 am and are either going on to another city or must wait until hours later for your hotel.
