A woman who was sitting on her steps on 23rd Street near McClellan in South Philly about 8:30 last night was injured when a ricocheted bullet - or piece of concrete that was struck by the bullet - hit her on the right side of her body.

Police said she was admitted in stable condition to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. It appeared that no one else was injured when at least one gunman fired off a barrage of shots on the other end of the victim's block. No arrests were made.
