I will be starting nursing school somewhere in Philly, next year. I'm applying to 6 different schools and have no idea where I'm going to go, yet. They are all spread out. So, I just want to move somewhere fun, affordable and safe. I am hoping to live somewhere that is close to public transport, so I won't have to bring my car. Is this a bad idea? Do I need a car? I hope not. I suck at parking. I'll be working in a nightclub and may be walking to my apt late a night. I'm not a chicken, but I also don't want to be stupid. I'm hoping to find a studio or shared apt for under $700, or so. Maybe under 800. I don't care if the living quarters are small, but I can't deal with dirty. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Will I be able to get around the city, quickly using public transportation? Thanks!
