Have not heard anything.
Have not heard anything.
I almost fell asleep when I read the menu in the window.
I've tried going there 3 times and they weren't open.
(If memory serves the menu in the window says they open at 10)
The first time was prior to their stated hours of operation.
The second time was 1/2 an hour after they said they would be open. A women who seemed to work there told me to come back in 1/2 an hour.
The third time was similar to the second except noone was there.
There are two yelp reviews but both sound suspiciously over the top.
Well that didn't last long. Sign went down a couple weeks ago.
What was it?

Thank you. Out of the country for 3 weeks and I was astounded by the changes going on around here.

The old Hoof+Fin. They changed concept from a cafe to full lunch and dinner menu right when they opened. Probably a mistake to do that over the summer if you don't have cash to burn. Doubly so if your menu is a snooze and you have no PR machine.
Hosteria Da Elio is only open on the weekends these days. Southwark paused Sunday brunch for the summer. Ela never rolled out brunch like they said they would. It's rough down herre in summer.
You are thinking of General Zod.

The Hoof + Fin peeps got out, they have a place down the shore and are focusing on that. H+F was their second venture.
Hm their website says closed for renovations and reopening in September: Zen-Nor Restaurant | Philadelphia, PA
I guess we'll see... the neighborhood actually could use a breakfast place like this.
I surfed around on eater.com and found this
Lousy Tippers
Whoa.
Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.
I saw this place being renovated and they poured quite a bit of money into it. The menu looked really dull.
I was at o'neals about a week ago and noticed the place was shut down. In the window, you can see a really odd painting named "Dad". They type I've seen throughout auctions in the Allentown area.
