A sheriff's sale would be awesome. Wish I had the bucks to buy. With such complex ownership, getting a clean title will be difficult I am guessing? Sale of these properties by the city could raise enough to keep a teacher working (well, an entry level teacher). OP obviously has invested time in this so please keep us updated on the sale(s).

What's really interesting is that TDBank could take all the properties right now, but of course they don't want to--or go through selling them. Then TD would be subject to the L&I issues.

And the City doesn't want to do this either.

And neither can calculate what the real value of the mess is to put a price tag on any of the parcels. The only way to get movement on this to get the lots sold off is for QVNA to turn up the pressure to get the lots put on the auction block, or the neighborhood sits around forever hoping some angel investor comes along and does all the dirty work of researching what's going on here, then contacting the bank and the City to get the lots sold off.

    You didn't hear?

This is a down-market Christo knock-off to satisfy her 1% for art requirement.

Don't forget the other boarded up sh!thole at 718-724 South 2nd.

I walk by both of these regularly, and they seem to have such potential, especially with the glut of so many seven figure homes in the neighborhood. Do those two properties (Monroe and South 2nd) intersect?

Or do they have a vendetta against the folks at 201 Monroe and just want to make live with that squalor?
