That woman was a trip. And then at the end of the clip, Ms. Kentucky gets down to brass tacks, and talks about the *real* reason she doesn't like topless women in public - because she herself is small-breasted, and would feel self-conscious if she happened to see a set of big boobs. And then there's the fact that her husband happens to *love* big boobs, so if she saw him looking, she'd have to slap him.

I had an employee who had to quit because his wife was so insanely jealous that his customers and ex-girlfriends had bigger boobs than her. She'd go into clinical depression over it. There were days he'd ask off and say that he had to tend to her because of her disassociation with reality. Then I caught him messing around with his ex-girlfriend and realized that the small titty wife might be onto something. It happens.

I'm not a boob guy-purely pussy. But if they're big? They better be real.

It was probably a self-fulfilling prophecy. If a guy didn't cheat before, he will once he has a girlfriend/wife who acts like that. (Women might be no different, I dunno.)

You're right. She looks WAAAAYYYYY better than most of the cows I see walking around south street fully clothed. Is she perfect? No but who out there is? From the way people were speaking of her in the earlier posts, I was expecting some old, 200-pound, cottage-cheese-thighs type.

Apparently there is a 60 something protestor in Ithaca who is getting tha point across right now. It's silly to me though. If a man is allowed to take his shirt off in public, than it makes no legal sense to deny a woman that right. Do I prefer seeing people's greazy flesh while they hoof around the city? Usually not but its really the least of the social ills I could think of.

Didn't the naked bike ride kind of render this sort of protestor obselete?

only on that day. and most weren't really naked.

heck i've seen men with larger boobs than that. especially older men. who cares? I have no problem with it. she's one of our better exports. yes i would think an older less fit woman would make the point better.

mrs Kentucky thinks those are big breasts??? um - not even close

it's a heck of a lot cooler. but i don't have the guts to do it. wish i did - it would be so much more comfortable.

Yes, she is (I'm good friends with her family) and she legitimately believes in this aspect of equality, given men can do it yet women can't. She wants to raise the point in how she believes breasts are not by intent, a sexual part of the body (and that the idea of them being such is a hold-over from religious-based morals). Personally, I see her point, and give her credit for getting out there for what she believes, but I think there's much more important issues to be putting time towards.

You can already take your shirt off, so I don't see the double standard involved. It is a little silly for her to ride the subway topless, since no self-respecting man would ever do that, but she is trying to raise awareness of something. If 0.002% of all women on the East Coast say "That looks like it feels great. I'm taking my top off" because of her "activism," then what's the problem? It does feel great, in weather like this.

Depends on what the cause is. Once upon a time, all it took was the flash of a bare ankle to make men mess themselves. This is no longer the case because we see ankles (and legs, feet) all the time now. Some guys turn into drooling idiots in the presence of boobs because that's how they were trained. From a young age, we're taught that they are "naughty bits" (because Adam and Eve ate an apple? Come on!), never to be seen, and then later, if they do make an appearance, then it usually means sex. This is all learned behavior, but it doesn't have to be that way.
