Blood splattered sidewalk on Front Street

Has anyone else seen the blood spatters on Front Street on the sidewalk by the grassy park area, between the first and second lot? (Across from Monroe). There are large splatters and stains of what appear to be blood, with footprints in them. My husband noticed them yesterday and told me and I checked them out this morning when I left for work. I am pretty sure it is definitely blood as opposed to paint. I wondered if someone had been injured or if there had been some incident, or if it was a dog fight or something. Anyone know? It is pretty scary looking.

Running near Front/South this morning noticed blood too. Totally makes sense now.
