It looks almost ready.. tables and such are all in there. I hope the prices and quality are similar to Tapestry.

Agreed for the most part. Not sure about the revolving door choice though. I guess it is more energy efficient, but looks a little out of place.

Anyway, according to the FB page, they are hoping to open on 10/29. I am hoping it is awesome!

Certainly tidier. But what's up with the brown vinyl siding? and the windows and lights are too small - out of scale.

    Just me ranting.

    So, has anyone been?

We tried to get a table this evening but the wait exceeded my kids' meal window tolerance.

Everyone I know that tried it left. 2 hour wait for food.

I went during the week, it wasn't too crowded and we were able to get a table immediately. Very nice place inside. The food was great, especially impressive for being open only a couple days. "Fried root vegetable skins" were amazing, only $3. Gnocchi with lamb neck ragu wasn't the best gnocchi ever, a little too soft, but above average and the ragu was very good and flavorful. Burger was very good, on a housemade english muffin that was excellent. Oddly they do not take doneness requests, the burger was about a medium but juicy and very good beef. Very good fries too. They have a whole menu of fries with all sorts of topping I am eager to try.

Service was a little wonky but considering they were open for less than a week it was all forgivable.

Extensive beer list as well and reasonable prices all around. So far this place is a winner, hope they can keep it up. Guess it will continue to be crowded but looking forward to trying more of the menu, I guess during the week.

I went for lunch this week with a friend. We both ordered a sandwich and fries. It took about 30 minutes to get the food. We weren't in a particular hurry so the wait didn't bother us much. My Burger was good, although I asked Medium and it was Medium rare. But still very tasty. My other compliant is that I asked for ketchup 2 times and it took the waiter 10 minutes to bring it over and by that time I was 75 % finished with my food. Not a disaster, but I assume when you have a burger and fries on your menu that ketchup is kind of an essential condiment to have for your patrons.

My wife tells me that expecting 'on demand ketchup' is only appropriate at MacDonald's and Diners, and in a place like this where they are putting a little more effort and creativity into the food that asking for ketchup is an insult to the chef. So maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here, but if anyone from the restaurant is listening, please note that someone who plans to spend a lot of money in your restaurant would greatly appreciate a little more focus on the condiments.

They have fries and ketchup on the menu- doesn't seem wacky to expect it when with a burger.

Apparently they're open very early for breakfast.

I'm pretty sure our food, which included a burger and fries, was served with ketchup available. There is no reason for any restaurant that has these items on the menu to downplay ketchup. If they want to be fancy they can make their own crappy ketchup like Morning Glory.

It was probably just opening-week confusion.

Went back last night and it was much less crowded; got a table with no wait. FOH seemed OK though there were a few minor nits* and significant timing issue** between "courses".

    We ordered:
fried pickles -- meh, nothing too exciting here
romaine salad -- one of the weakest salads I've ever had, not at a banquet or diner
fried calamari -- pretty standard tho the white dipping sauce had a decent kick (wanted mussels but they were out)
house burger -- decent burger but no temp inquiry
pork loin -- cooked a bit more than I generally like but still moist and tasty

Good beer selection, reasonably priced. Definitely some kinks to work out, but this was opening weekend; definitely going back.

*had to ask for basic things multiple times before they brought them: water, ketchup (nope, it wasn't initially brought with burger & fries). Lots of empty glasses: my wife was never offered another beer, water never refilled, kids' milks never refilled or removed.

**30+ minutes between salad, pickles, calamari and burger, pork loin. They actually tried clearing our table twice while we were waiting!

My only two gripes with Morning Glory. The site made ketchup and the pot-metal cups that make the coffee taste like warm pot-metal.

I am yet to have a house-made or "artisan" ketchup that is a good as Heinz.

Went back last night. Entrees have been removed from the menu, waitress said to let the kitchen get up to speed. Good drinks, good fries, but the rest of the food was very bland and not good. We did get ketchup delivered without asking but of course no salt on the table.

They have the "small plates" and sandwiches. Actually a lot of options. And yes that french fry menu, which would be better as nachos. The fries themselves are really good though.

I wanted to go try the chicken fried steak. Guess I'll have to wait.

I was disappointed too. But given how poorly they executed the basic sandwiches we got its probably for the better.

Have you had South Philly Tap Room's ketchup? I don't put ketchup on anything anymore - except SPTR's on their fries.

Yeah it's ok, better than most, but no Heinz . I don't like their fries either - - but I love SPTR otherwise.
