No alcohol is allowed at this event(Their other event which requires membership is BYOB) and if they even see you looking intoxicated they would kick you out.
BDSM play is much more dangerous when people aren't in control of their actions...Plus Im sure they don't want people 's impression of their open house to be of "That drunk dude laughing in the back stroking his thing".

Correct and very well stated. We have an Info page that talks about the play restrictions and general information about the event right here: http://elegantlykinky.com/#416/custom_plain
I kind of can't believe there isn't some Christian outrage about this...I saw the pics from the last one and it's pretty offensive...I mean there's a "molesting priest" with with his hand up a girl's skirt, some chick with flabby arms dressed as a latex nun "Mother Superior" and a guy doing a scene on an altar...people have weddings and **** here, I'm just surprised some local church group or whatever hasn't picked up on this and lost their ****
Philly is a pretty laid back city when it comes to outrage...over sex that is....
Besides any group that would is busy with the REAL sex offenders in the church....

Hell we have a building perched between rowhomes in my 'hood in Kensington that is a sex club.
Called "Trapeze"
The City Can't Decide If Sex Clubs Are Legal | News and Opinion | Philadelphia Weekly
It's been re-opened the last several months after the City Solicitor's office gave up on it (the old City Code is just too ambiguous to determine if the thing is legal or not).
hahaha ....well said ...

by whom? :P And I don't think this party is cop themed but maybe the next one...whoever is putting on the church BDSM party did a roman pony play thing at a kids skating rink; I'm sure a cop fetish party can't be far beyond...maybe at a elementary school lunchroom, or some where similarly appropriate...
Courtesy, respect, safe, welcoming and no booze?no alcohol served.
Mistress Zeneca's events have an emphasis on courtesy and respect in an environment that's safe and welcoming.
Sounds G-Rated. Pass.
"Ask not what your country can do for you". Yeah right.
Mistress Zeneca Presents a BDSM Play Party of Epic Proportions
Looks like the Shampoo "goth night" crowd from 15 years ago has found a new home. YUCK!![]()
complain to the venue? maybe they don't know what they signed up for...people might not want to get married in the same space as a bdsm party...
Complain to the venue about what, exactly? There are probably plenty of people in the BDSM lifestyle who would be offended to think that others got married in this space. Live and let live. Also, this space is a deconsecrated church/chapel. It has about as much religious meaning now as the parking lot across the street.
Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.
I don't care, but the OP seems to, so I was saying if they have such a problem with it, that's what they can do about it. And as for the religious meaning part, there seem to still be a lot of holy relics that deconsecrated or not might have religious meaning for others.
