Default Saturday Night March Planned To Protest Philadelphia’s New Curfews

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Critics of the Nutter administration’s new weekend curfew for underage teens are planning to protest the executive order tomorrow night.

Several community groups have been texting and tweeting, attempting to get the word out about the protest, Saturday at 8:30 PM, that begins with a rally at Broad and South Streets.

Tomorrow night’s protest march will end at 4th and South Streets.

    This is a bad idea.

Oh yeah. That will end well. I'm glad I'll be at the Phillies game in DC.

I'm not sure how you can claim a 9pm curfew for all minors is illegal or racist.

Maybe if these same community groups put the same effort into raising their children then we wouldn't need a curfew. Also amused that the curfew is viewed as racist considering it is being enforced by a police department whose chief is black and created by a black mayor.

All of these flash mobs have started my annual maybe its time to leave the city thoughts.

With a little advance notice I could have bought some bad produce to toss at them.

Simple. It's been publicly stated that the goal is to stop the thug mobs. Since the thug mobs have been all black, it's clearly targetting one race. Get it?

Apparently what was lost to this new idiot country heard from, was that no one under age, was spared. Featured prominently in philly.com last weekend was a 16 y/o from Mt. Laurel, NJ, and clearly a white boy, who was being issued the citation, because he thought it was wrong and he was planning to make his point. I guess he showed us!

If this march gets out of hand this guy Diop Olugbala should be held responsible civily and criminally.

This guy is a professional trouble maker, check this out from last year, and look who he is allied with.

    Default youth,community

"The youth are being criminalized," said Olugbala, who in 2009 was arrested during a scuffle with police inside City Council chambers. "And this is a specific attack on black youth and the black community."

Olugbala wants parents to bring their children.

Actually, under the new curfew law, he can be arrested for organizing an event that is encouraging kids to violate the curfew.
