Just wanted to let everyone know about a new business on South Street called Gadget Fix. It is located at 626 South Street:

The repair guys are really decent and will try to fix just about anything, and will also be honest with you when something isn't worth fixing. Their computer guy is amazing! He also designs IT servers, etc. for hospitals but his contract expired so now he's working here and doing a really good job from the sounds of it. They fix computers, phones, some digital cameras, etc.

JUST opened. I'm letting everyone know since I know the computer repairman... but he also does some of the phone repairs. Super great guy. Quiet, but really honest. The other day he showed a guy that it would be cheaper to get the same electronic on ebay for $50 instead of repairing what he brought in.

Oh wow! This is awesome! Thanks for posting this. I was just complaining the other day that you can never get anything repaired anymore and usually have to end up getting a new one even though it's probably an easy fix. I'll definitely be checking this place out!

I just replaced a 25" monitor because my 23" went on the fritz. And I resisted replacing it for 5 months while I tried to research how I could fix it myself (from what I gather, some minor soldering needs to be done). Now I don't want to give up my 25"er. Argh.
