This should be very good for that space.

I was really hoping that Crown Fried Chicken would open up an organic fried chicken takeout joint there.
So if we are going to rail on new restaurants for opening in bad locations (see Sbraga thread), I think that this and QV in general is a difficult location. Good luck to him but like Sbraga this place will need to be a destination restaurant to make it.
Yes, but they're playing in different leagues - the Sbraga space is bigger and the rent is surely a lot higher. His bar for success is set a lot higher.
Hope the neighbors on the block of 200 Bainbridge Street are sick of seeing an abandoned restaurant on their corner and will actually let them get a permit for outdoor seating, but I doubt it!
I have never even heard of Mica...guess I'll have to give that a try.

Are there two Adsums? The one at 5th and Bainbridge is empty. Every night, including Fridays and Saturdays.
I believe QVNA makes bars/restaurants agree to no sidewalk seating or it fights the license transfer. So there probably won't be sidewalk seating.
neighbors came out in droves fighting David Ansill's request for an outdoor seating license citing noise concerns and fearing it could end up in the hands of an owner that might turn it into a Mako's crowd.
Not in droves-but they did come out. And in the end, that idiocy was determined because the next door neighbor was a douche. Maybe they still are, so pardon my tense.
Meanwhile, The Irish Times got outdoor seating without any problems. Why? The next door neighbor said OK to it. That's basically what it comes down to. Either way, it is a flawed system and no one cares to fix it so c'est la vie.
Man, that's like saying the "least corrupt Philly politician".
Maybe it depends on the night, but I've seen it pretty full before. Adsum probably isn't representative of QV though since it straddles the border of QV and Bella Vista, is a block from South Street, and is less than a block from a couple of established restaurants that see plenty of business (hence spillover traffic).
