The 700 block of Fulton looks, at best, like a bunny hill ski slope. At worst, it's like all the other little streets. We've had no garbage collection & 311 can't say when it'll happen. Anyway, I'm at the top of the street near 8th & a plow just turned the corner onto my street & got stuck. He tried again with more power & got stuck again. He got on the phone with someone who must have told him to forget it, because he just backed out. It was one of those smaller plows & I wonder if they will send a bigger one or just let us stay this way until June or when it melts, whichever comes first.
In the meantime, a few $%#@* are parking across my intersection or pulling their cars in a little bit & staying there. I hate to think what could happen if someone needs emergency help or if there's a fire because all the hydrants are snowed in completely, not to mention the time it would take to move those cars.
So, what do I do? I called the non-emergency police # the first time someone parked across the intersection, but can I or should I keep doing it? It's a regular thing now but I really don't want to do that to someone who may be a neighbor. Anything I can do about getting a plow back out here? 311? Won't they just tell me they're not "supposed" to be plowing side streets anyway?
