    Yes it is. But there are even many places for runners to run that are even less stressful and less hazardous for them. The answer to the question why they don't run there is that it is more convenient to run in the bike lanes. You also have to consider that it is hazardous to run in the street for other reasons.

    Keep in mind that road surfaces are crowned towards the curb to allow for drainage. Something to be aware of if you are clocking some serious mileage, (as in training for a marathon) you will want to switch the side of the road occasionally.

    Jogging lanes within bike lanes is clearly the only solution here.

    Roads are for bikes and cars. Bikes not only should bike in the road with traffic, but they have to, it's the law.

    bikes should stay off the roads, adults in cars need to use them
