Default Santa Express is FREE this year.

SEPTA Santa Express, which happens every Black Friday, will be free to everyone who gets on it, thanks to a corporation that Im sure won't let you forget that....

So if you never got a chance to be on the 21 year old event, this year its a little cheaper on your pockets:

Two decorated Market-Frankford Line trains will depart both 69th Street Transportation Center and Frankford Transportation Center (Bridge Street Entrance) at 10:00 a.m. making all stops. The scheduled arrival at The Gallery At Market East (11th Street Station) is 10:17 a.m. from 69th Street Transporation Center, and 10:22 a.m. from Frankford Transportation Center

A decorated Broad Street Line train departs Fern Rock Transportation Center at 10:00 a.m. This train will make only Express stops. The train is scheduled to arrive The Gallery At Market East (8th & Market Station) at 10:17 a.m.

A decorated holiday Regional Rail train will run on the Media/Elwyn and Warminster Regional Rail Lines:

    Media/Elwyn Line | Train #9348
    Warminster Line | Train #423

    Default Confusing

I'm actually a tad confused by SEPTA's Santa Express page. It does say families can ride the train for free, but it also says "regular weekday fares apply when riding these trains." Maybe SEPTA just forgot to remove the last part from the page.

I just spoke with somebody at SEPTA, and it looks like they included the last statement on purpose. As I said on DVARP's Facebook group, Constellation Energy will pay for the Santa Express rides on Regional Rail ONLY, although people riding the Market-Frankford Line may win a free token from a Constellation Energy elf. I did get SEPTA to make the language clearer on the webpage.

Actually two whole trains only, not the entire day.

Ah well...At lease they are giving out free tokens, which doesn't matter to those with passes(but they already paid for the month anyway, free or not).

Like I said, its why I didn't exactly give the company that is doing this any free promo... They'll get enough that day. lol
