To address each of the above:
When did the Phillies whine? I don't think they have a reputation for whining unless you want to site specific examples.
Leave it to a woman to compare the sexual appeal of the players for the basis of a WS matchup.
The number of championships isn't a good predictor especially for this year since the Phillies are the defending champs. What do the Mets have to do with this?
um, the Rays won the AL East and then proceeded to take the AL Pennant and the Yankees didn't even earn the right to play in the post season.
Quakertown is the name of an actual town in Bucks County, not a nick name for Philadelphia. Are you trying to draw a parallel between William Penn and Batman, a fictional character? Rocky vs. Batman would have been more clever.

Nobody is suggesting that Yankees are not the most successful franchise in the history of baseball. But that's history.
You keep discounting last year's championship. Fact is, we were the best team in baseball last year, with a trophy to prove it.
A champion has not yet been crowned for this year. Until a champion is crowned, etc., etc., blah, blah. Got it?
