I will enjoy ever single emasculating, humilaiting loss that the Mess will suffer through this year.

Mets did manage to sweep the Braves while the Phils dropped 2 out of 3 to the Pirates. Pirates, people! (I had higher hopes for the Phils.)

Full disclosure: I'm a Mets fan; grew up as one, and still live in New York. The bf, who is in Philly, is a Phillies fan. I have been learning to appreciate the Phillies more and more (especially since I will probably have to relocate at some point of time.)

That said, I am put off by the Mets' involvement with Madoff and the lackluster quality of teams in the recent years.

No way princess. You only think that because you can't see it from the outside. Mets fans are much bigger douches. Everyone knows this.

Under certain situations I could root for the Yankees. No sane person could ever root for the Mets. MAYBE if they somehow played the Cowboys in some kind of a fight to the death thing but even then I'm not so sure.

Exactly. I absolutely loathe the Braves but in the same way I loathe the Red Wings and the Patriots. They were so damn good for enough years to start a rivalry and they beat the crap out of Philly teams.
