Hnh. "Second wild card." That explains the confusion.

Obviously I was asleep when they changed the rules. Is the regular season still 162 games or did they change that, too? Still nine players in the lineup? 90 feet between bases? Etc...

Actually, the Phils won the division in '08.

The difference between this year and '07 (when they came back from 7 down with 17 games to go) is they were only chasing one team that year. This year, they're only 3.5 back with 13 (I think) to play, but they are behind 4 teams.

really wish we could watch the games streaming on line. phucking comcast. steam the commercials too i don't care!

PHILADELPHIA -- It had been inevitable, but it is finally official.

Friday's 2-1 loss to the Miami Marlins at Marlins Park eliminated the Phillies from the 2012 postseason. It will be the first time since '06 they will not pop champagne bottles in a clubhouse celebration. It will be the first time in six years they will watch the postseason like everybody else: from their couches and recliners.

It's an MLB thing.

Ever try and listen to the game online on 1210's website? You can't. They play Sinatra or something during the game. I found this out the hard way. Kinda pi#*ed me off at the time too.

The one offensive bright spot for the 2012 Phillies just came crashing down, Carlos Ruiz is probably in his last season as a Phillie as he will turn 34 this year and is in the last season of his contract. Amaro now has an even deeper hole to dig out of, not really sure why the Phillies are hot on the trail of Upton another strike out machine that only swings for the fences. This offseason will make or break the 2013 Phillies as the current roster is not good enough to go to war with and make the playoffs.
